NEW USERS: All current Rush active employees or Rush students with a valid Rush LDAP account can log in to REDCap using their Rush username and password. If your username and password do not work, please contact Rush IS Help Desk at Help@rush.edu or call them at (312) 942-4357 to reset your password. 

COLLABORATOR / EXTERNAL USERS: All external / collaborator users will need to request a PI at Rush to sponsor for his/her account. Please advise the PI to use the following link to request a new account REDCap User Account Request

REDCap API TOKEN REQUEST: REDCap API token is granted on a case-by-case basis. Please go to our FAQs to request a REDCap API token. Users will need to accept our "REDCap End User Agreement" before an API token is issued.

REDCap Citations and Acknowledgement: Study investigators can cite and acknowledge Rush REDCap using the language below in their study manuscript.

Study data were collected and managed using REDCap electronic data capture tools hosted at the Rush University Medical Center (1,2). REDCap (Research Electronic Data Capture) is a secure, web-based application designed to support data capture for research studies, providing: 1) an intuitive interface for validated data entry; 2) audit trails for tracking data manipulation and export procedures; 3) automated export procedures for seamless data downloads to common statistical packages; and 4) procedures for importing data from external sources.

REDCap external/collaborator account suspension notice:

•  There is an excessive number of REDCap external collaborator accounts without an expiration date. If you are an external collaborator REDCap user who is sponsored by a Rush Principal Investigator, please immediately work with your account sponsor to fill out the following link REDCap external collaborator account extension request form to extend your REDCap account. Expiration dates are required for all external collaborator accounts. If you do not do this, your account will be suspended on April 2024
• If you are sponsoring an external collaborator REDCap account, , please request to extend the sponsored external collaborator REDCap account using the link REDCap external collaborator account extension request form 
• This notice only applies to studies that require collaboration with study staff from non-Rush institutions such as UIC, U of C, Northwestern University, etc. If you are a current Rush employee or Rush student then this notice does not apply to you or your study. If your study is conducted and managed by a current Rush employee and there is no collaboration with any other institutions, then this notice does not apply to you.

REDCap is a secure web platform for building and managing online databases and surveys. REDCap's streamlined process for rapidly creating and designing projects offers a vast array of tools that can be tailored to virtually any data collection strategy.

REDCap provides automated export procedures for seamless data downloads to Excel and common statistical packages (SPSS, SAS, Stata, R), as well as a built-in project calendar, a scheduling module, ad hoc reporting tools, and advanced features, such as branching logic, file uploading, and calculated fields.
